Item Description
In 2006 and 2007 the OEM transmission for Softails, Dynas and FL models changed from 5 speed to a "Sportster like" 6 speed transmission.
With that the transmission internals changed including the main shaft and the output drive gear.
All previous offset/wide tire kits no longer fit the 6 speed Big Twin transmissions. Therefore Ton Pels designed a totally new offset kit for the OEM 6 speed transmission. This 25mm offset kit allows the use of wider swingarms for up to 250 rear tires while keeping the wheel perfectly centered in the motorcycle.
- Fits 6 speed Softail, FLH & FLT Touring models 2007 & Up and 6 speed Dyna models with wide swingarms 2006 & Up
- Sold as kit
- Kit comes with all required parts, such as an extended transmission main shaft and extended main drive gear, primary spacer ring, primary spacer blocks, extended clutch pushrod, crankshaft extension and all required gaskets, seals and hardware
- Transmission main shaft and main gear drive are CNC machined from High Stress 20CrMnT gear steel forging by one of the world's leading automotive transmission factories
- Gear and shaft are tempered and stress released to a core hardness of 35 to 45 Rockwell and have a surface hardness of 58 to 60 Rockwell
- Kit works fine with our 2000 & Up wide swingarms (Kit does not include swing arm, fender and struts)
- 2007 Dyna swingarms are in development
- Kit must be installed by certified Harley mechanic and welding must be done by a certified welder. This kit is a special order item.
