- Comes with component kit including 3/4" diameter axle
- Frames are made from mandrel bent DOM steel tubing, 2" for the single down tube, 1 3/4" for the backbone and 1 3/8" for the rest
- They are designed to accept 180 width rear tires and any 5 or 6 speed Softail-Style transmission together with an 1 1/2" or 1 1/8" rear belt or chain drive
- Engineered with a super strong upper frame design with integral neck webbing that offers unparalleled strength with pleasing aesthetics
- The single down tube merges with the lower frame rails in such a way as to continue the frames smooth lines, often overlooked on other frames
- These Softail-Style beauties are delivered complete with billet hidden axle rear section and a component kit including a top quality CNC machined slotted strut set, cross shaft with flush mount stainless pivot bolts and bearings
- Integral one piece transmission mounting plate is part of the frame structure, assuring unit construction strength and the best possible alignment
- Frames are set up with the offset already built in which requires only simple spacing of engine sprocket or pulley
- Will accept Kraft/Tech oil tanks and our large selection of one piece round top fenders
GENERAL INFORMATION FOR SOFTAIL-STYLE SINGLE DOWN TUBE FRAMES WITH HIDDEN AXLE
SPECS BELOW ARE FOR FRAMES THAT WE HAVE AVAILABLE IN OUR STORE (THESE SPECS MAY OR MAY NOT BE INCLUDED IN FRAME ABOVE)
- DOM steel 2" tubing for the down tubes, mandrel bent
- DOM steel 1 3/4" tubing for the backbones
- DOM steel 1 3/8" tubing for the rest, mandrel bent
- These frames represent KRAFT/TECH's commitment to mating sound engineering with design excellence and functionality
- TIG/MIG welded
- Frames will accept Evolution motors (except Twin Cam), Shovelhead & Panhead engines with clearance for cylinders up to 0.200" taller than stock Evolution
- Rear axles for the 230/240/250 width frames come with 1" axles. The 180/200 width frames comes with 3/4" axles
- Splash guard mounts are welded in place
- Oil tank mounts are set up to accept stock or custom Softail-style oil tanks
- Necks are CNC machined from solid steel
- Beefy 1 3/4" tubing used on all frame backbones
- Rear mount is milled after welding
- Uprights are newly designed, radiused and contoured
- Rear section has a mounting provision for 1986-99 Softail type rear brake calipers
- Rear axle carriers are precision machined billet steel with hidden axles
- Flush mounted pivot bolt is made from stainless steel
- Frames come with one piece welded in transmission plates with built in offsets on wide tire frames, providing the best possible driveline alignment as well as unit construction strength
- Frames are set up for Softail-style shock absorbers 1987-99
