Item Description
Contrary to Evolution models it is not possible to move the transmission on Twin Cam models to the left as these models have the transmission bolted to the crankcase. The Zodiac offset kit enables you to move your primary 25mm without moving your stock or aftermarket 6 speed transmission or 6 speed Zodiac transmission or converison
- Fits Evolution Big Twin models 1991-99, Dyna Twin Cam models 1999-2005 and Softail Twin Cam models 2000-2006 With 6 Speed Zodiac, Jims, Baker or similar 6 speed transmission and stock 6 speed Harley transmissions
- Sold as kit
- The kit comes with an extended transmission main shaft and main drive 5th gear, leaving the transmission housing in exactly the same place but allowing you to offset the front final drive pulley 25mm, thus creating space for the use of a 230 on a 7 1/2" rim in both the Evolution and Twin Cam frame if the late type "narrow" final drive belt is used. If a chain is used for the final drive the stock frames will accept up to 250 wide tires on a 9" rim
- Transmission main shaft and main gear drive are CNC machined from High Stress 20CrMnT gear steel forging by one of the world's leading automotive transmission factories
- Gears and shafts are tempered and stress released to a core hardness of 35 to 45 Rockwell and have a surface hardness of 58 to 60 Rockwell
- This kit contains primary spacer ring, extended crankshaft extension and nut, extended transmission main shaft, extended main drive 5th gear with needle bearings and seal, extended belt pulley spacer, extended clutch pushrod, extended starter jackshaft, starter jack spacer, primary to transmission spacers and all required hardware
- When you have a 1991-93 model 5 speed transmission, you must purchase a countershaft 5th gear, extended starter jackshaft bolts and late style final drive pulley separately
- Wide swingarm and fender struts are not included in this kit
- Kit must be installed by certified harley mechanic and welding must be done by a certified welder.This kit is a special order item.
